The Coast Guard Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to the education, welfare and morale of Coast Guard members and their families, announced Tuesday that it received a donation of 250,000 diapers from Huggies.
From Memorial Day until Independence Day, Huggies’ Camo for a Cause program — in partnership with the National Diaper Bank Network and the Armed Services YMCA — will donate more than 5 million diapers to all branches of the military.
The foundation accepted the in-kind diaper donation at a 10 a.m. ceremony on Thursday at the Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore and will work with Coast Guard officials to distribute them to Coast Guard families in the coming months.
“The Coast Guard Foundation supports families in any way possible,” foundation president Anne B. Brengle said in a statement.
