The Coast Guard medically evacuated a 48-year-old fisherman Sept. 19 from a commercial fishing vessel at approximately 90 miles southeast of Cape Elizabeth in Maine.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Northern New England received a call via marine-band VHF channel 16 from the 44-foot fishing vessel Rachel T, home-ported in Portland, Maine, reporting that the vessel’s captain was suffering from severe abdominal pain and vomiting.
