Cox Powertrain’s production 300-hp CXO300 diesel outboards will soon arrive in North America. The first outboards were delivered to Singapore-based distributor Sime Darby, and Florida-based Ring Power is now awaiting the next delivery.
Ring Power will be repowering their Intrepid Nomad 345 demonstration boat from the pre-production units to the production units before taking it on a state-wide roadshow over the coming months.
There has been a lot of anticipation for diesel outboards to enter the US market, and the majority of Cox’s customers are located in North America, so Ring Power is excited to show off this engine’s performance. “The popularity of outboard powered boats in recent years has exploded, and Cox’s CXO300 will be a game-changer, to say the least,” says Rick Chapman, Cox Business Manager for Ring Power. “This brand new, purpose-built engine promises to deliver benefits in maintenance, fuel consumption, emissions and torque.” Customers and boat builders are invited to join Ring Power along their road show to experience the performance first-hand.
