A family was saved from their burning boat by a group of people who happened to be in the right place, at the right time.
This happened Saturday night near the south jetty off Galveston, Texas. A local TV station spoke to the good Samaritans who saved the family and how grateful that family is to be talking about their experience.
At first, the family said they noticed little bit of smoke, but thought it was oil burning off the boat’s engine. But, they could not see what others could see in the water.
Boaters told them there were flames coming from their boat.
“I was scared something would happen to him. The moment I saw the fire I thought just grab [our son] Jarid and throw him down to get in the water,” mother Brittany Blackman told ABC 12 Eyewitness News.
