The Hinckley Company took the wraps off two speedy long-distance models that will expand its Hunt Ocean Series lineup. Hinckley says the 63- and 76-foot motoryachts are designed with a focus on offshore performance for customers looking to expand their cruising range. Hinckley’s parent company purchased Hunt Yachts in 2013.

“With speeds of 30 knots and the ability to handle conditions that would make other yachts shudder, this new generation of Hunt Ocean Series is for customers who want to go explore their world making rapid passages and embracing the offshore route to get there,” said Mike Arieta, president of The Hinckley Company.

The 76 and 63 are being built in Hunt’s Taiwan factory. The Ray Hunt Design studio designed both models. The first hull was recently delivered to Europe and two others are currently underway. The 76 has twin Caterpillar C-32 V-12 4-stroke diesel engines with twin turbocharged aftercoolers and can reach top-end speeds well over 30 knots and fast cruise at 29 knots. The 63 has twin Volvo Penta IPS1350s and can reach speeds of 31 knots and fast cruise at 26 knots.
