Four New York men were rescued Saturday morning from their sinking boat in Long Island Sound, police said.
According to Capt. Sam Arciola at about 9 a.m. Saturday Norwalk Marine Police monitored a transmission on VHF channel 16 of boaters reporting that they were sinking in Westport waters.
Norwalk Marine Police Sgt. Pete Lapak and Officer John Taranto located the vessel, a 25-foot Mako, and its occupants approximately 3 miles south of Cockenoe Island in 40 feet of water.
