How history remembers him is yet to be determined, but a British man has set two world records when it comes to boats carved out of pumpkins.
In one glorious day, he set a new record for the fastest 100-meter (333 feet) paddle of a boat carved out of giant pumpkin — and he became the first person to cross the Solent to the Isle of Wight. For the crossing, he rigged a kicker outboard to his gourd.
