Even in a tough economy, a $137,000 boat being offered for an 85 percent discount raises red flags.
The low asking price resulted in the recovery of a 30-foot Concept Boats vessel stolen last August from the Calusa Campground in Key Largo, Fla. Miami resident Yadiel Valera, 22, was arrested on grand-theft charges Thursday.
“The potential buyer said he was suspicious because the person selling it was only asking $20,000,” said Monroe County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Becky Herrin.
