Jojo John, 36, the man behind last summer’s fatal boat crash on the Hudson River, said in court, “there are days I question why God took two people and not me.”
He was sentenced Tuesday to two years in jail for the boat crash in July 2013 that killed two of his friends before a wedding.
During his sentencing Tuesday to two years behind bars for crashing the boat into a barge in July 2013, Jojo John tearfully expressed remorse.
“There are days when I question why God took two people and not me,” the 36-year-old said. “I find myself crying a lot because of how my heart feels about them not being here … I’m standing here heartbroken.”
