Maverick Boat Co. will unveil a new Cobia 261 CC at the Feb. 11-15 Miami International Boat Show, a boat that replaces the 256 CC, which was the first completely Maverick-designed Cobia after Maverick acquired the Cobia brand in 2005.

“Though the 256 CC was a good seller, the great success of the more recently introduced 296, 344 and 277 models mandated we design a 25- to 26-footer with many of the same design features as on the bigger boats,” Maverick marketing director Charlie Johnson said in an invitation to members of the media.

“Those features include a front entry console, an electronically lifted aft bilge hatch and a deluxe helm station with convertible bolsters and a tackle center,” Johnson said.
