An off-duty sheriff’s deputy rescued two men from the waters of an upstate New York lake Saturday after their boat capsized.
The men were sailing on a Sunfish sailboat when the wind caused the boat to capsize about 500 feet offshore. They were wearing shorts and T-shirts and were not wearing life vests.
