The 66-year-old pirate ship The Brig Unicorn, which appeared in three of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie series, sank in what has been described as a freak accident off the coast of St Vincent and the Grenadines on Saturday.
The ship was sailing on her way to be repaired from St Lucia when she encountered difficulties and sank.
On board at the time there was nine crew members and one captain, who were believed to have been rescued by the St Vincent Coast Guard shortly after the incident. No injuries were reported.
The Brig Unicorn played The Henrietta in “The Curse of the Black Pearl,” and The Terrasaw in “Dead Man’s Chest” and “At World’s End.”
