Two people on board a powerboat ended up sparking a multi-agency rescue operation, after their attempts to get out to sea down the River Avon near Bristol, England, ended in embarrassing failure.
The boat’s engine quit on the way down the Avon Gorge, and the boat was left to float with the tide.
Awkwardly, the tide went out, leaving the boat high and dry and stuck in the mud facing the wrong way, at low tide at around lunchtime on Thursday.
