Flooding in China has wreaked havoc on both land and the country’s rivers.
New photos have been published of rescuers boarding a ferry in the Jialing River as a larger vessel T-bones the ferry and sends it toppling over.
The detailed photos show two would-be rescuers thrown into a debris-filled muddy river and struggling to find safety.
