A hundred and one days after he launched his small rowboat from the Canary Islands, a retired deputy U.S. marshal from Massachusetts reached a small island off the coast of Guadeloupe early Wednesday and became the oldest American to row across an ocean alone.
“First thing, I’m going to take a shower. Second thing I’m going to do is go to church. Then I’m going to get a cheeseburger,” said 59-year-old Leo Rosette.
