The Stonington (Conn.) Harbor Yacht Club’s Sailing Foundation and the Mystic Aquarium are teaming up to offer two eight-week marine biology afterschool programs.
The programs, which start April 16, are geared towards 4th-5th graders and 6th-8th graders. The first four weeks of each program will take place at the Mystic Aquarium, where each class will explore the exhibits and get an up-close look at the animals and their habitats. The second four weeks will be held at the Sailing Foundation in Stonington Borough. Weather permitting, two classes in May will be spent using a boat to for further exploration in the field.
