A sailing yacht has become something of a landmark in Hoboken, N.J., since it has been perched high and dry on the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway from Hurricane Sandy’s storm surge.
No one has come forward to claim the boat, officials said, and it remains beached on the western side of Weehawken Cove with the graffiti, “Global warming is real” scrawled on its side and barnacles coating its hull.
If the owner does not come forward to claim the boat, it will be removed and sold through auction.
