A New York City fire department rescue team plucked a family of seven out of a high-performance boat on the verge of capsizing Saturday in the East River.
A 15-foot Yamaha jetboat with a Bronx family on board was returning home to City Island after cruising past the Statue of Liberty when 3- to 4-foot waves pounded and flooded the boat.
