The torch formally has passed at Sea Tow Services International.

Capt. Joseph Frohnhoefer III was named CEO of the company and his sister, Kristen, is the new president.

Sea Tow founder Joseph Frohnhoefer died last year after a brief battle with cancer.

“Joseph and Kristen spent their childhoods immersed in the Sea Tow business — Joseph out on Sea Tow boats and engaged in operations with his father, and Kristen in the office engaged in all aspects of administration with me,” Sea Tow board of directors chairwoman Georgia Frohnhoefer said in a statement.

“Occasionally they traded places, which allowed them to do most everything that every local Sea Tow operator does today, which lets them better understand what is best for the Sea Tow network and for the future of Sea Tow,” she said. “Together, we are carrying on Joe’s vision for the company.”
