Some lucky boaters off the coast of Massachusetts witnessed three humpback whales breaching in almost perfect synchronization and one of them captured it for posterity.
The astonishing video of the event was captured by Robert Addie of New Hampshire who was boating off Cape Cod with his three adult daughters.
“I’ve seen thousands of whales,” Addie told reporters. “I’ve seen whales everywhere from Cabo to Hawaii to Alaska to Massachusetts. I’ve never seen an in-sync triple aerial ballet like that. It’s one of those things that you could tell the story, and nobody is ever going to believe it.”
“Stunning, stunning,” he added. “We were just gob smacked.”
