Two men are back safely on land after their boat sank more than 170 miles offshore of Saint Petersburg, Fla. The commercial fishermen were stranded in the Gulf overnight for about 10 hours in a life raft for hours waiting for rescue.

“You do this for so long that every time you leave the dock, you know you might not ever see land again,” Capt. Curly Egan told ABC-7 News. And early Wednesday morning, that’s what was going through his mind.
