Turkish performance powerboat manufacturer Numarine said its Numarine 78 Flybridge M/Y Still Water became the first U.S.-flagged yacht to cruise to Cuba since the trade embargo began in the 1960s.
Still Water was docked in Marina Hemingway near Havana last week after bringing 12 American guests and three crewmembers to the island nation from Key West, Fla. The voyage took about four hours. Passengers and crew entered the country on a “person-to-person permit.”
Numarine said it took seven months to obtain legal approval forStill Water’s departure to Cuba.
