Two Norwegian herring fishermen working the cold waters north of the Arctic Circle came across a force of nature in the form of a pod of humpback whales.

The chance meeting was a little too close for comfort for one of them.

Luckily, as the initial ripples rolled across the calm waters, they caught video, following the hungry whales as they chased a school of fish right up to the side of the boat.

“This can get close,” one voice is heard saying in Norwegian as the whales emerge from the water with a large splash, according to a report by Britain’s Daily Mail. “I don’t want to be any closer than that,” the videographer adds.
