A duo of Italian sailors mounted a GoPro Hero 2 camera on the bow of a Hobie Tiger to document their sea trial on a breezy day off Sestri Levante in the Italian Riviera.
The crew set out in 20 knots of wind and choppy seas.
The catamaran was designed with a breeze in mind and was Hobie’s design entry into the Formula 18 class.
Though exhilarating to sail, it’s challenging and requires the agility of a trapeze artist.
One slip-up, as you’ll see, leads to an abrupt end to the run, but not to the fun.
