Well, it’s a helluva fish story if the photos are real.
Marlin magazine posted them on its Facebook page and the art director at Soundings says that if it’s a Photoshop job, it’s a good one. The story, sketchy as it is, goes something like this:
A Panama charter skipper is backing down on a large black marlin when he apparently falls into the throttles, causing the boat to ship a ton of water and sink to the bottom. The marlin escapes, and the anglers are picked up by the boat from which the photos were taken.
