A group of anglers fishing for marlin off the Dominican Republic got more than they bargained for when a 350-pound blue marlin they’d hooked launched into the cockpit.
“Everybody was scared there for a minute, and once we realized nobody got hurt and everything was under control we realized we had a pretty good piece of video,” Beecher Jacobsen, a resident of Florida and owner of Marlin Darlin, told KXAN News.

The Marlin Darlin crew say they generally release their catches, but this marlin died, so they donated it to local Dominican fishermen.
