The Newport International Boat Show on historic Newport Harbor in Rhode Island marks the start of the fall boat show season, and it is one of the largest in-water boat shows in the country.
The 46th annual event, which ended Sunday, was the biggest Newport show since 2009. On display were sailboats, powerboats, marine equipment, services and accessories for boaters from 603 exhibitors across the world.

Show director Nancy Piffard said full attendance figures are not yet available, but attendance was up on Sept. 15, 16 and 17 from the previous year’s numbers.
