Wally Yachts of Monaco will debut its latest creation, an edgy and aggressive-looking 48-foot dayboat, at the 2019 Cannes Yachting Festival in Cannes, France, September 10-15, and at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, October 30-November 3.
“Ever since we entered the power market in 2001, the Wallytender has been a symbol of the pure joy of open-air boating,” says Luca Bassani, Wally founder. “The new 48 Wallytender is proof positive that our very special design DNA continues to thrive under Ferretti ownership.”
The 48 Wallytender is powered by twin 480-hp Volvo Penta diesels with IPS650 pod drives and has a top speed of 38 knots, according to the builder. Joystick controls are standard.
Rest and relaxation are the theme on deck, with expansive twin sunpads in the aft cockpit and bow, a six-person, booth-style dinette with teak table that’s situated behind the helm, and comfy seats with flip-up bolsters for the skipper and two guests. The port and starboard aft bulwarks flip down hydraulically to create a wide teak beach.
Below the console is a generous V-berth, dressing area, and an enclosed head/shower.
