The sixth annual West Marine Carolina Cup, home to the world’s largest gathering of stand-up paddleboard racers, takes place April 19-24 in Wrightsville Beach, N.C.
As part of the event festivities — considered to be the official kick-off for the 2016 SUP race season — West Marine will hold a SUP giveaway valued at nearly $1,600 that includes a 12-foot, 6-inch Surftech Sport Touring TekEfx SUP.
Event-goers interested in entering to win simply must visit the West Marine/Surfstow tent onsite at the Carolina Cup and have their photo taken. A random winner will be drawn April 24 from all those who entered and take home the grand prize.
“West Marine is a big supporter of the SUP community, so it just made sense that we’d be the title sponsor for the Carolina Cup — an event that’s revered by paddlers all over the world,” West Marine senior marketing manager Laura Barry said. “Our SUP giveaway offers one lucky winner an opportunity to get out on the water and experience the joys of SUP at any age or skill level.
