North Carolina man Glenn Benton says he gave James Read his old boat and $4,500 in cash, all totaling $5,000. But the new boat Benton bought from Read didn’t work and even broke down on a test run.
Benton says Read offered to fix it, and that’s the last time Glenn says he saw either the boat or his money.
“For two years he’s had my boat and my money,” Benton told WCNC News.
Glen feels the only way he’ll ever get his money is to push Read into court with the threat of jail time.
